Scope

We will professionally write, edit and present for editorial consideration up to100 news release packages concerning any single product/service subject of your company that you may select. On a custom basis, we select the publications to receive your product news. The most effective list will be different for every product. This selection is made from our constantly updated data base. There are over 8,000 U.S. and Canadian trade and professional journals. Some general interest publications are also pertinent for product publicity purposes. We average 80-100 editorial contacts during a single product campaign. This is a matter of our best judgment. We locate every editor and publication wherein our long experience indicates a serious interest in your product may exist with the readers. We do not skimp. Most of our clients are pleasantly surprised at the breadth of their list and ultimately at the effect an A.I.M. program will have in finding and opening new markets no one realized existed. The list will be submitted for your approval and suggested additions.

How Much Does It Cost?

For a complete package fee of USD $1,200.00, we will prepare and present your product message to approximately 100 editors of national magazines. We have had as many as 1,000 leads (reader replies) from a single news release. Less than $1.50 per interested, potential customer-all over the USA! The replies will often include some from potential dealers as well as end users.

There are over 8,000 trade professional magazines and journals published in the USA and Canada. Their circulation's range from 2,000-200,000 copies per month. They publish thousands of product news items free each month. It is likely you read some of them yourself and wondered how the product news got there? How Will You Know Your Product News Was Published?

You will receive leads directly from the magazines. Some magazines will forward a clipping, a tear sheet or a sample copy. The report format varies among publications. Most reports contain information such as: How many employees? How many other products did they inquire about? What is the inquirer's line of business? The data thus provided forms a valuable market research tool.

Results

A typical campaign will find your news published in 5-10 nationally distributed magazines. The first appearances normally take 3-4 months. A news release can continue to show up in print a year or more after the release date. Circulation alone is not the best indicator of which publication will do the most good for your product news. Typical products will draw 300-500 reader inquiries over the course of a program. Some products generate 1,000 or more inquiries. Most inquiries will be from the USA or Canada. You may also receive a few from scattered countries all over the world. It is a pleasant surprise to receive leads from Argentina, Iran, Israel or Russia. How Do You Get Started?

What does the client furnish? All new clients must pay in advance for the first transaction. A check for USD $1,200.00 must accompany your order. Send us a high quality product photo source. We prefer a high resolution jpeg or tiff digital color file - alternatively we can use a color negative, a first generation print (larger the better - 8x10) made from the original negative, an original 35mm color slide or a larger transparency. We can do a product press release without a photo but it is better to include a photo. The better quality photo source we have to work with, the better the results. You must include enough information about your product for our writers to get started. The more details you provide-the better job we can do for you. Provide capacities, dimensions, rates, sizes, weights, etc. Send us the information in your own words or call us and we can often obtain the information we need with a thorough telephone interview. We know the questions to ask and we will write the news story. If you have any product literature, please enclose. Incidentally, an excellent news release by itself is: "New Literature Available." These draw well. We normally recommend to clients that they engage us to conduct one of those as a follow-up to your product news, a couple of months later. If you choose to have us conduct a new literature available press release for you, than please include at least (100) copies of the subject literature you wish to introduce instead of a product photo source.
